RP Stainless Steel Clutch HoseWeve noticed issues with our RX-8 when doing high rpm second gear shifting. The pedal would have to be very positively floored to allow the shift to occur without undue shifter force. By changing over to this braided steel clutch hose, the problem was noticeably decreased. This hose is made from the same premium quality braided stainless steel weve used for over a decade. With over a 10,000psi burst strength, needless to say, it will last a lifetime. Also, if you do change over to a performance clutch, this hose becomes an absolute necessity.

It is always a good idea to replace the throwout bearing, pilot bearing and seal whenever you replace the clutch and pressure plate. You should also resurface the flywheel. For optimal clutch performance, the flywheel should be removed and resurfaced professionally.
Also note that the pilot bearing has an extremely tight fit which makes it nearly impossible to remove without using the proper tools. Release bearing shown.
