Import Challenge
Promised to be the biggest import event held in Texas this
year, the two day event turned out to have some definite

August 22nd, 1999 — NIRA Import Challenge
(Featuring the Supra Vs RX-7 Vs 300ZX Battle)
Stakes were high as the fastest RX-7s, Supras, and 300ZXs
from around the country came to Texas for a Battle of the
Supercars. On hand for the RX-7 camp were Peter Farrell
and Ari Yallon’s 10 second RX-7s, Supras led by the
Powerhouse Racing crew, and SGP’s own 300ZX which
over the course of the weekend became the fastest 300ZX

July 24th, 1999 — NOPI Drag Wars & Music Festival
Held on a Saturday evening, this unique format for an Import/Domestic
Drag Racing event proved to be very popular. We were treated
to lots of exciting runs in the Quick 8 Competition as three
of our RX-7.COM cars fought for the win! Click

June 27th, 1999 — NOPI Drag Wars
Added to the calendar as a Make Up date for the rained out
March 28th event, this event proved to be more exciting
than anticipated. Competition was fierce, and so was the
heat. With track temperatures climbing well over 120 degrees,
it’s amazing so many records were broken...including
